Casey’s Custom Audio hosts a Mobile Electronics Competition Association (MECA) sanctioned car audio competition and car show at 1161 Weyerhaeuser St. in Philadelphia. The event features judged classes including Sound Quality, dB SPL (Sound Pressure Level), Show & Shine, MECA Kids, 360 Dueling Demo, Install, and Ride the Lights After Dark. Entry fee is $30 per class.
Participants do not need to be MECA members to compete, but only members earn points toward State Finals. Annual membership costs $40 and must be purchased within two weeks of competing for points to count. Competitors need 35 points to qualify for State Finals, scheduled for September 5 at Casey’s Custom Audio.
The series includes three shows: May 30 with registration starting at 9:00 AM, July 26 with registration at 11:00 AM, and August 16 with registration at 11:00 AM. Food vendors will be on site.
