The Military Order of Purple Heart Chapter 2226 hosts a scholarship car show Aug. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Bubba’s, 500 Westwood Shopping Center, Fayetteville. Registration costs $20 for all cars. The event features a 50/50 raffle and awards trophies in 10 categories: Best Motorcycle, Best Jeep, ROTC Top Choice, Best in Show, Most Rep’d Club, Best Import, Best Domestic, Best Truck, Best SUV and Best Classic. Setup begins at 8:30 a.m., with the national anthem and colors at 9:30 a.m. Registration runs from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Trophies and raffles are awarded at noon. The event is powered by Ville City Jeeps.
