Mt. Horeb Church hosts a family festival and car show Friday, Aug. 28, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the church parking lot at 1205 Old Cherokee Road in Lexington. The event features inflatables, a petting zoo, food trucks, free Pelican’s Snowballs and music. Trophies will be awarded for Best in Show, People’s Choice, Kid’s Choice, Best Car and Best Truck. Registration is $25, and the first 100 registrants receive a custom challenge coin. Proceeds benefit Mt. Horeb Church Car Care Ministry.
