Mustangs Lead 9/11 25th Anniversary Remembrance Cruise

This Sunday, Mustang owners and all other car owners and enthusiasts from throughout Southwest Florida are invited to come together for a very special 9/11 25th Anniversary Remembrance Cruise. Mustangs have the distinctive honor of leading the 9/11 25th Anniversary Remembrance Cruise this Sunday. It is only fitting that an American car leads this solemn procession, and the Mustang truly is America’s car.

All Mustangs are welcome to join us. Other American sports cars and muscle cars will follow including Corvettes, Mopars and all other American customs and classics. All other makes and models will follow including trucks, trikes, EVs and even daily drivers.

It has been 25 years since September 11, 2001 and nearly a third of all Americans were born after that date. This event is our opportunity to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the families forever affected, and the extraordinary courage of the firefighters, police officers, first responders, and ordinary citizens who ran toward danger. We will also recognize all those who continue to serve and protect our communities today.

Staging starts at 7:30 AM in the parking lot at Angelic Desserts Bakery and Cafe in the Galleria Shoppes at Vanderbilt. Please back your vehicle into a space in the designated area as marked on the parking layout. Registration opens at 8:00 AM. Angelic Desserts opens at 8:30 AM, with Free Coffee for all First Responders in uniform.

We are asking for a $40 donation per car to Tunnel to Towers Foundation (T2T.org) for participation in the Remembrance Cruise. The Drivers Meeting is at 8:45 AM, followed by our 9:00 AM departure.

This is not about what kind of car you drive. Mustangs, Corvettes, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, classics, customs, hot rods, trucks, EVs, daily drivers and everything in between are welcome. What matters on Sunday is that we come together as one automotive community for a common purpose.
