The New York Steam Engine Association hosts its 66th Annual Pageant of Steam Aug. 5-8 in Canandaigua. This year’s event features 25 years of muscle tractors and Minneapolis Moline with Prairie Gold Rush, alongside Wisconsin-built engines as the feature engine.
Daily demonstrations showcase steam, gas and diesel engines. Antique tractor pulls take place Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings, with daily tractor parades scheduled throughout the event. A consignment auction begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Entertainment runs nightly, with Light Blue performing Wednesday from 7-10 p.m. and West of the Mark playing Thursday and Friday from 8-11 p.m. The Empire State Pullers tractor pull starts at 6 p.m. Saturday.
A flea market operates during the event. Gates open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. General admission is $10; children under 12 enter free. Food is available on site.
