The NMCC Painted Church Cruise will start at Buc-ee’s in Waller, Texas, with a meet-up at 7:00 AM on Saturday, October 4, 2025. The group will depart at 7:30 AM sharp. Participants may alternatively meet at the Schulenburg Chamber of Commerce between 9:00 and 9:30 AM. The route will follow Hwy 290 west from Buc-ee’s past Burton, turning south on Texas 237 to La Grange, then south on Hwy 77 to Schulenburg at 618 N Main St.
Upon arrival at the Chamber of Commerce, attendees will sign up and pay a $25 fee for a guided tour lasting about four hours. Participants are advised to bring snacks and drinks if needed. The tour will be followed by a late lunch at 2:00 PM at the Oakridge Smokehouse restaurant, which has new ownership and improvements. Attendees should inform the organizers if they plan to eat so a headcount can be given to the restaurant.
