About This Event
Creative Spark Gallery hosts Nocturne, a juried art show built around a night-themed gallery experience in which art, music and atmosphere combine into an immersive, romantic darkness. The show seeks visual motifs of night imagery, low lighting and chiaroscuro, along with flowing forms inspired by music and the contrast between light and dark.
Mary Young, a theater set designer and oil painter, serves as guest curator. The gallery accepts entries through a juried submission process, with prizes awarded to selected works. Accepted pieces will remain on view for the gallery’s Small Saturday business fair and wine tasting, as well as a car show parade.
An opening reception runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 20, 2026, at the gallery in Independence. Admission is free.
