Pipeliners Tour: Celebrating Tom Waters’ 85th Birthday

The Pipeliners Tour stops in Baton Rouge to celebrate Tom Waters’ 85th birthday with a crew appreciation event for pipeliners, welders, contractors, families, industry leaders and friends from across the country. The gathering honors a man whose name has been known across spreads, welding rigs and right-of-ways for generations.

The day includes fellowship, stories from the right-of-way, live entertainment, vendors, food, giveaways and special tributes. A welding rig truck show and shine features some of the best rigs in the industry, with registration, classes and prizes to be announced. Organizers are collecting photos, videos and stories of people wearing Tom Waters glasses over the years for a tribute shared before and during the celebration.

The event runs at Tom Waters Boots, Clothes and Optical, 4206 Joor Rd. in Baton Rouge. Spectator admission is free. Industry vendors, food vendors, sponsors, local business partners and giveaway or raffle contributors can apply through The Pipeline Life. More details on entertainment, tickets and special activities will be released later.
