The 2nd Annual Hopatcong Flag Day Parade & Festival, originally scheduled for June 14, has been postponed to September 27. The event will begin at 3 p.m. with a parade starting at Hopatcong High School and continuing down Durban Avenue to the center of town. Festivities will take place at and around Hopatcong Firehouse #3.
The festival will feature food trucks, treat vendors including Michele’s Bistro, Smokin Schmidtys BBQ, and The Empanada Truck, as well as a beer and beverage area. The retail vendor market opens at 2:30 p.m. Attractions include a Kid Zone with bounce houses, a dunk tank, and soccer shoot, a car show open to all car clubs with trophies and a DJ, live music from “Who’s Johnny,” and a 50/50 raffle benefiting St. Jude. Vendor space is limited. The festival will run until 9 p.m. in Hopatcong, New Jersey.
