Rockingham NHRA Nationals Nitrofest

Rockingham NHRA Nationals presents Nitrofest, a free celebration marking the return of nitro racing to The Rock. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at Harrington Square, 111 E. Washington St., Rockingham.

Vendors open at 6 p.m. with race cars on display, a kids zone, food trucks, a beer garden, NHRA and event merchandise, and a drag racing practice tree competition. NHRA driver meet-and-greets and autograph sessions take place from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. A free Colt Ford concert begins at 7:45 p.m.

The kids zone features free bounce houses, slides, a climbing wall and face painting. All activities are family-friendly.
