About This Event

Downtown Bethany marks 100 years of Route 66 on Nov. 7 with a community-wide celebration hosted by the Bethany Merchants Association. The downtown events run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. along College Ave.

The Bethany Merchants Association stages the celebration alongside Southern Nazarene University, Bethany Children’s Health Center and Bethany First Church of the Nazarene.

A car meet-up with the OK Route 66 Cruisers brings the automotive lineup to the street. More than 70 vendors and local shops take part, joined by 10 food trucks and local restaurants. Live music features local artists with Kenna’s Vocal Studio, and a DJ plays through the day.

Activities include Bublee Pop, a Route 66 inflatable, inflatable axe throwing, family games and a Children’s Entrepreneur Market.

Admission is free for spectators. A portion of 39th Street will be closed Nov. 7, and a parking map is available. Community partners plan additional activities elsewhere in Bethany the same day.
