The Scene of the Crash car and bike show is back for its 11th year at the Dakota Thurston County Fairgrounds in South Sioux City, NE, from July 18-19. The event offers a family-friendly atmosphere featuring a variety of activities and attractions.
The event kicks off on Friday at 3:00 PM, welcoming attendees to set up their campsites. Highlights of the day include a donut contest at 7:30 PM, followed by a Camper Crawl.
On Saturday, gates open at 8:00 AM for parking of cars, mini bikes, and motorcycles. A swap meet runs all day, and children’s activities take place from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The mini bike rodeo and drags happen at 12:00 PM, followed by Hot Rod Dirt Drags at 2:00 PM. A pin-up contest is scheduled for 3:00 PM inside an air-conditioned building, leading to a live auction of automotive items at 4:00 PM. The Sioux City Hot Rod Hall of Fame induction occurs at 4:25 PM, with trophy presentations expected by 4:30 PM.
The expo building will feature kustom kulture art, clothing, and more, while food vendors will be present. The event is BYOB, with free camping available for tents or non-hookups, and $30.00 for hookups with modern showers provided.
Admission is $15.00 per person, with free entry for kids 10 and under. Note that there are restrictions on vehicles, and children on mini bikes must be supervised at all times.
