The Small Town Smokeshow is set for July 12, 2025, in Quimby, Iowa, starting at 7:00 AM. The event includes a BBQ cook-off from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with judging of St. Louis style spare ribs at 4:00 PM. A car, pickup, and bike show will run from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The fire department beer garden will be open from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. At 1:30 PM, a burnout contest will take place. Guest judges Beth Howard and Courtney Crowder will oversee a pie-making contest. JJ from “The Iowa Gallivant” and “Burgers and Backroads” will participate as a guest judge, conduct videos, and host a book signing.
