About This Event
The Smithville Chicken Pie Festival takes over downtown Smithville, Georgia, on Halloween with a full day of food, entertainment and a classic car show. The festivities begin at 9 a.m. with a parade, and the event runs until 5 p.m. at 116 South Main Street.
The car show is part of a broader festival lineup that includes live entertainment from the Eric Hatcher Band, local performers, a chicken pie contest, a cake walk, food vendors, and arts and crafts vendors. Halloween-themed activities are planned for children and families, along with chicken-themed decorations and characters. Organizers describe the Halloween activities as festive and family-friendly, without skulls.
The festival has a long history in Smithville and has traditionally featured a parade, live entertainment, vendors, a chicken pie competition and a classic car show. Admission is free for spectators.
