Smoke and Wheels

Marathon Hometown Pride presents Smoke and Wheels on Saturday, Aug. 29 at 306 W. Attica in Marathon. The event features a rib cook-off and car show, with all proceeds benefiting community betterment projects.

Rib cook-off registration begins at 10 a.m., with judging at 3 p.m. Entry fee is $5. Car show registration runs from 1 to 3 p.m., with the show from 2 to 6 p.m. Vehicle entry fee is $5.

A community dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. offers ribs, pulled pork and hot dogs by free will donation.
