The South Jersey Seafood Festival takes place Saturday, August 29 at Washington Lake Park. Admission is $5; children under 5 are free. The festival features fresh seafood including lobster rolls, crab cakes, shrimp, and a raw bar. Live music runs throughout the day with performances by Acoustic Soul from South 47 at 11 a.m., Boothill Express at 1:30 p.m., and Soul Seduction at 4 p.m. The event includes a beer, margarita and sangria garden, kids activities with inflatables and miniature golf, face painting, henna, and vendors. Food vendors include Angry Archies, Beast of the Street, Cousins Cuisine & the Crabby Chief, Cousins Maine Lobster, Cubita Truck, Dan’s Waffles, Itz Elotes, Just Fork It, Magnolia’s Soul & Spice, Nourish Nook, Sherris Crab Cakes, Shore Fresh Market Raw Bar, Star of the Sea, and Station One Seafood. Dessert vendors include Cold Stone, House of Cupcakes, and Pirate Pete’s Soda Pop Co.
