The Springfield Township Police Department hosts the Cars for K9s event Friday, July 24, 2026, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Springfield Lake Park in Akron. The cruise-in coincides with the Friday Summer Concert Series and raises support for the department’s police K-9 program.
Classic, vintage, hotrod, and custom vehicles are encouraged to participate. Entry fee is $10 for cruise-in vehicles. Attendees can meet K-9 Ryker and K9 Rex, enjoy food from Duma Meats, and listen to live music at the gazebo beginning at 7 p.m. Food, music, and vendors will be on site.
