The Thara Klaborday Annual Labor Day Classic takes place in conjunction with the HBCU Labor Day Battle of the Bands. The event is hosted by 97.7FM’s Mista Maine, with DJ Murph2Cold providing music.
It includes the HBCU Labor Day Car, Truck & Bike Show at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium Parking Lot, 2531 N. State Street, Jackson, Mississippi. Vehicle registration costs $30, with a $40 fee for late registration after 3 p.m. The lot opens at noon, the show starts at 1 p.m., and judging begins at 4 p.m. Admission is free. Registration is available upon arrival.
Trophy categories cover a range of vehicles and features, including Best of Show Truck and Car, paint, SUV, sedan, G-Body, A-Body, C-10 Jeep, various gender categories, new models, lifted vehicles, and more. Awards include trophies, large gold chains, and other prizes.
