The Gathering of the Hearses

The Gathering of the Hearses joins the 11th annual Eville Shindig Hot Rod Kustoms and Rockabilly Weekend from Thursday, October 15 through Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Vanderburgh 4-H Center in Evansville, Indiana. While the broader festival emphasizes vintage and traditional rides, this special Halloween-season gathering welcomes hearses of any model year.

Registered hearses receive designated priority parking together on the show field, alongside a dedicated killer trophy for Best Hearse and specialty awards for hearse classes. Festival activities across the weekend include live rockabilly bands, the Friday evening Monsters Ball costume party, Jalopy Jaunt dirt drags, flame-throwing demonstrations, a swap meet and car corral, the Miss Eville Shindig pin-up contest, and vintage camping.

Vehicle registration is $30 for the weekend and includes admission for the driver, with additional occupant passes available for $30 for the entire weekend. General spectator gate admission is $10 for Saturday only, $20 for Friday and Saturday, or $30 for a three-day weekend wristband; children 12 and under enter free. A portion of gate proceeds directly benefits the local Hadi Shriners Motor Corps.
