The Hayward Area Recreation and Park District hosts its annual Trunk or Treat event at Kennedy Park on Saturday, October 24, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The free event features live music, games, performances, crafts, scavenger hunts, and photo opportunities.
The Unhaunted House offers an underwater-themed Halloween adventure with a pirate ship, mermaid lagoon, and coral reef filled with friendly sea creatures. Visitors can then head to the carnival for a chance to win pirate treasure.
The Arts Make-a-Thon, hosted by Sulphur Creek Nature Center, includes craft stations at the Witch’s Hut, Pumpkin Painting, Halloween Décor, and costume making. Participants can complete a scavenger hunt and enter a costume contest with homemade costumes.
