Trunk or Treat at the Homewood Library

The Homewood Library Foundation hosts the annual Trunk or Treat at the Homewood Public Library on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Presented in partnership with sponsor Homewood Heating & Air, this free, family-friendly Halloween celebration invites the community to an afternoon of festive trick-or-treating in the library parking lot.

Local businesses and community organizations decorate their vehicle trunks as designated treat stations to welcome roughly 2,000 costumed children. Admission is free for spectators, and participants can register a vehicle trunk in advance. Staging and vehicle setup take place between 2:00 PM and 2:45 PM before the lot opens to treat-seekers.

All contributions benefit the Homewood Library Foundation, supporting programs, collections, and facility improvements at the Homewood Public Library. On-site spectator parking is limited at the upper Oxmoor Road entrance, and attendees are encouraged to carpool or walk over.
