Trunk With Treat Car Show

The Trunk With Treat Car Show runs Oct. 31 at Olde Towne Inn in Elgin, Illinois, from 10 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. The Halloween event doubles as a fundraiser for the Epilepsy Foundation. Spectators attend free, and children can collect treats. Car show registration begins at 10:15 a.m. and costs $20 per show vehicle; $5 of each entry fee seeds a 50/50 drawing. Show-car entrants receive complimentary Demon Dog and Witches Chili, and hot dogs and chili are available for everyone. Music from 101.5 FM Cruisin Music and a 12:30 p.m. appearance by the Resurrection of the King Don Elvis, performed by the Reverend Rudy K, round out the entertainment. Themed trophies are awarded at 2:30 p.m., along with Best of Show and Best Decorated Car awards. Olde Towne Inn, described as Elgin’s oldest bar and grill, is a certified registered haunted location. The event is billed as family friendly.
