Destihl Brewery in Normal, Illinois, will host the Union Avenue Memorial Day event on Monday, May 25, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. The event features a live performance by rockabilly band Union Avenue. A car show will take place with registration opening at 10 a.m. and a $15 per vehicle fee. The first 66 cars registered receive premium reserved parking. Judging begins at noon in four categories: Antique (pre-1950), Classic (1951-1999), Contemporary (2000-2025), and People’s Choice, with awards announced at 2 p.m.
The Route 66 Style Showcase, free to enter, invites attendees to wear retro-inspired outfits. Contestants will be called to the stage at 2:30 p.m. and a winner will be chosen by crowd vote. Additional activities include face painting, cotton candy and snow cone stations, a kids’ craft station, and food and beer features available until 9 p.m. Advance car show registration is available.
