The Valley District Fair presents its annual Ron Smith Memorial and Jack Forman Memorial Car Show & Truck Show on August 16 at the Reedsville Fire Department. Registration costs $10 per vehicle. The car show features judging from noon to 2 p.m. with awards at 3 p.m. Best appearing in class awards will be given for vehicles from nine decades: 1949 and below, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s. Special awards include Best of Show, Queen’s Choice, and the Smith Family Award. The truck show runs concurrently with the same judging and awards schedule. Truck classes include semi, tri-axle, and pick-ups. The event is free to view and features concessions, a 50/50 raffle, and door prizes. Proceeds benefit the Reedsville Volunteer Fire Department.
