VFW Post 10004 hosts a car show Saturday, Aug. 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 263 Taylor Hill Road in Jewett City. Entry is a $10 donation to the post. A rain date is scheduled for Aug. 16.
Music will play during the event. Food available for purchase includes ribs, hamburgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, baked beans, cornbread, mac and cheese and orange coleslaw. A cash bar will be outside.
