The Vidalia Police Department will host the VPD Back The Blue BBQ KCBS Louisiana State Championship on October 24 and 25, 2025. The event will take place at Riverview RV Park and Resort, starting at 10 a.m. on Friday and ending at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
The competition offers a cash prize of over $13,000. Teams interested in competing or reserving campsites can contact Riverview RV Park at 318-336-1400. Campsites are not included with competition registration.

A car show will be held alongside the barbecue competition. Categories include Antique Car (under year 2000), Antique Truck, Race Car/Rat Rod, New Models (over year 2000), Motorcycle Best in Show, and Best of Show Overall. First, second, and third place awards will be given in most categories.
