The Vintage Rollers host their 43rd Annual Glass Festival Rod Run on August 15 at Callaway Park in Elwood. Registration begins at 9 a.m. for American-made cars from 1990 or older, unless chopped, channeled, sectioned or pro street. Pro street cars must be tubbed. The event offers $500 in prize money and awards famous glass trophies. Pre-entry and day-of-show registration both cost $20. All pre-entries receive dash plaques and shirts. The event features 50s music throughout the day. An ELKS cruise-in takes place the night before the rod run from 4 p.m. onward, with trophies, music and food available for a $5 entry fee.
