Volksfest 35, billed as the largest single-day vintage Volkswagen show in Ohio, takes place Aug. 8, 2026, at Fort Hayes Metropolitan Education Center in Columbus. The event features a car show, swap meet, vendor area and food trucks.
Spectator admission is $5; children 12 and under are free. Show car entry is $20 and includes the driver and passengers. Swap meet spaces are available for $25 per 10-by-20-foot space. Show car registration runs from 9 a.m. to noon, with setup beginning at 8 a.m.
The first 150 registered show cars receive dash plaques. Trophies will be awarded to the top 40 cars, along with Best of Show, People’s Choice and specialty awards. The 2026 edition features a special focus on 50 years of the GTI. Door prizes and raffles are also planned. Proceeds benefit Central Ohio Helping Hands.
