A community car parade will honor a World War II Marine veteran celebrating his 100th birthday. The veteran served with the 6th Marine Division during the Battle of Okinawa. All vehicles are welcome, including motorcycles, cars, trucks, jeeps and classics. Participants will meet up at 9:30 a.m. at 19775 N. Remington Dr in Surprise. Attendees are encouraged to bring American flags, decorate their vehicles and invite family and friends. The event aims to show appreciation for the veteran’s service and sacrifice.
