Get ready to rev up those engines and polish the chrome, because the Goodguys 25th Summit Racing Nationals presented by PPG is hitting the road and heading for the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, Ohio from July 7-9, 2023. This fantastic event will feature a whole host of activities that will set the hearts of car enthusiasts racing.
Welcome to the Motor-Madness Extravaganza
The weekend kicks off on Thursday with a pre-event Poker Run at 10am, followed by a Registration Parking Lot Party in the Cardinal Lot, complete with a DJ and food available from Noon-2pm. The day rounds off with the Kickoff Party at the Crowne Plaza & Hilton Polaris at 5pm, the perfect place to mingle and meet fellow car aficionados.
Vendor Midway and Swap Meet
From dawn ’til dusk, you’ll have the chance to browse hundreds of retail hard part dealers in the huge Vendor Midway, getting your hands on everything you need for your rod restoration. The Swap Meet & Cars 4 Sale Corral will be bustling with hundreds of cars for sale, presenting a perfect opportunity for you to discover your next project or dream ride.
Engage and Enjoy
Each day will be packed with a range of activities that promise to entertain and delight. The Goodguys CPP Autocross will see Hot Rods, Trick Trucks & Muscle Cars competing in a timed road course. A particular highlight is sure to be the Goodguys Nitro Thunderfest presented by Summit Racing, a breathtaking dragster exhibition. There will also be the Goodgals Gallery, showcasing hundreds of handcrafted items, and a Model & Pedal Car Display to admire.
Special Celebrations
On Saturday, be sure to check out the Contestant Viewing, where you can see all the contestants for Street Rod & Street Machine of the Year. The Celeste Building will host a Special Saturday Awards Ceremony at 5pm. Be there to witness the crowning of the 2023 Street Rod & Street Machine of the Year, plus the presentation of the Goodguys 2023 New Product of the Year.
In addition, Saturday will be jam-packed with specialty parking areas, each participant receiving a custom dash plaque. Whether your interest lies with Trick Trucks, Camaros, Homebuilt Heavens, Corvettes, or the Next Generation presented by Goolsby Customs, there’s a spot for everyone.
Sunday Specials
Sunday welcomes the Meguiar’s All American Sunday, where all years of American-made or powered cars and trucks are welcome. Witness the Winners Circle and the Goodguys CPP Autocross for vehicles 1998 and newer. Join the Church Service at 10am in the Ohio building, a moment of serenity amidst the excitement.
The Awards Program at 2:22pm is the grand finale, with over 100 award recipients chosen by celebrities, industry and magazine representatives. This program highlights the best in show and ends the weekend on a high note.
