MAY 3rd CAR CRUISE UPDATE
We often look forward to our car cruises not for the business, but for the simple fact that we all get to gather and enjoy our classic cars with one another. Our first car cruise of the season is one of the most anticipated as we all get to catch up with friends that we haven’t seen due to the long winter months. Although COVID-19 has cancelled many plans so far this year due to the statewide and CDC social distancing recommendations, we feel as if we have come up with a safe way to enjoy our passion for classic cars and fellow friends’ company during this time while still practicing social distancing.
With that being said join us for our COVID Classic Car Cruise Sunday May 3rd at 3p.m. Unlike our normal Car Cruises where we gather in our parking lot enjoying each other’s company with games and music, we’re taking it old school and doing a real cruise where cars will meet at the Diner and we will leave from there on a guided route. PLEASE READ BELOW FOR PROPER PROCEEDURES AND INSTRUCTIONS TO ENSURE THIS CRUISE RUNS AS SMOOTHLY AS POSSIBLE AND SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES ARE FOLLOWED.
•You MUST preregister for this car cruise!! Registration will cost $10 and includes a takeout meal consisting of a hamburger or cheeseburger with your choice of toppings, French fries or chips, and a bottled soda or water along with a voucher for a free t-shirt which will be given out at a later date.
•To preregister you must call 814-483-2699 between Monday April 27th and Thursday April 30th. Unfortunately, no registration will be accepted after this date. When you call to register you will pay your $10 registration fee over the phone with a credit or debit card.
•When you call to register you will be given a registration # that you will need when you show up the day of the cruise. We will have a parking lot attendant to direct you where to park to ensure that we are practicing social distancing guidelines.
•Cars may begin to show up at 3p.m. We ask that no one shows up before 3p.m. Once parked by our parking lot attendant, cruisers will be given their takeout meal to eat in their cars. We will be leaving the Diner at 3:30p.m. for a guided route. The route is posted in the image below.
•It will be an approximately 1 hour and 15-minute, 50-mile cruise which will leave from and return to the Summit Diner parking lot, however THERE WILL BE NO EVENT AFTERWARDS. Cruisers are more than welcome to exit the guided cruise portion at any point along the way.
Again, the phone number to preregister is 814-483-2699. You may call between our normal business hours of 10am-8pm beginning Monday April 27th to Thursday April 30th to register. We hope to see you all there!
Coronavirus (COVID-19) is causing events to be cancelled or rescheduled. We will do our best to update events when we find out, but please check with the event directly before attending. Whenever possible we include links to their facebook page (look for the 'visit event website' link on our event pages), flyers which contain event contact info, or contact info in the event description.
