The Southport Lions Club hosts its annual Labor Day car show Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026, in Historic Downtown Southport. The event is open to all cars, trucks and motorcycles.
All proceeds benefit the Southport Fire Department Ballistic Vest Program in support of first responders. Registration is $25 from 8 a.m. to noon. Judging takes place at 1 p.m., with awards presented at 2 p.m.
Day’s activities include the Club Game Challenge, club participation, a 200 Prize, and more. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be offered.
Trophies will be awarded in multiple categories including Top 25 Participant Choice, Mayor’s Choice, Southport Lions’ Choice, Sponsors’ Choice, Fire Chief’s Choice, Police Chief’s Choice, and President’s Choice. Additional awards include Best Club Display, Best Foreign, Best Motorcycle, and Best Truck, along with Best Oldley, Best Survivor, Best Chevy, Best Challenger, Best Optifab, State Port Pilot Choice, Best Mustang, and Best Camaro. Best Reasonable, Best Exotic, Best Ford, and Best Bronco awards are also available.
