The 8th Annual King of the Jacktown Labor Day Classic Car, Truck & Bike Show takes place Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026, at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium in Jackson. The event is presented by HBCU Labor Day Classic and Carshow Gurus in conjunction with the official Labor Day Classic HBCU Battle of the Bands.
The lot opens at 11 a.m., with the show starting at noon. Audio judging begins at 2 p.m., and vehicle judging starts at 3:30 p.m. Participants arriving after 4 p.m. risk not being judged. Registration is $30 before 3 p.m. and $40 after 3 p.m. Children 12 and under are admitted free.
The show features more than 50 trophy categories, including Best of Show Male and Female Car and Truck (chain awards), Lifted, Motorcycle, Slingshot, Clarity, Crown Vic, Import, Jeep, Mopar, Mustang, Wrap, SUV, Antique, Cadillac, G-Body, Box Chevy, Impala, Corvette (C6, C7, C8), Lowrider, Custom Truck, Exotic, Luxury, and Registered Car Club categories. Kids’ awards include Powerwheel Boy and Girl.
