The 2nd Annual Downshift for Down Syndrome Car Show welcomes anything on wheels Sunday, Aug. 2, 2026, at Jack Elstro Plaza in Richmond. Registration runs 10 a.m. to noon. Awards will be presented at 3 p.m., with top 30 trophies plus specialty awards. The event is free to the viewing public. Registered vehicles enter by donation only. Proceeds benefit Down Syndrome Indiana, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving members of the Down syndrome community and their families. The show is hosted by the family of Luca Sanchez, 3 years old, who was born with Trisomy 21. The event features craft vendors, food trucks, door prizes, a 50/50 raffle and a DJ.
