Hap’s Cruisin’ Into The Sunset returns for its 23rd annual gathering at Sunset Marina in Rock Island, Ill., bringing together owners and fans of cars, trucks and motorcycles for a casual day of socializing and vehicle display along the waterfront.
The event, which grew from a small group of friends into a large community cruise, welcomes all vehicle types – from Dodge Vipers and Corvettes to rat rods, lowriders, Mustangs, Camaros, 4×4 trucks, race cars and everything in between, including fully restored, project and heavily modified vehicles. The organizers emphasize that no awards are given; the gathering is intended as an informal cookout-style get-together open to all, with no affiliation to any single club or group.
Food will be available on site. Burnouts are strictly prohibited, and alcohol is not permitted. Police will be present, and participants caught performing burnouts are subject to local traffic laws. The event takes place on city property, and organizers ask attendees to use caution and good judgment throughout the day.
