Revved Up 4 Vets takes place Labor Day Monday, September 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at O’Leary’s Pub, 4856 Galley Road, Colorado Springs. The Lounge, O’Leary’s, and Walker West Rentals are collecting new sleeping bags and backpacks filled with winter essentials for homeless veterans. All donations go directly to The Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center.
The event features live music, a 50/50 raffle, games of chance, a chili cook-off, and a Bloody Mary bar. Attendees can donate new sleeping bags and backpacks containing hats, gloves, socks, toiletry kits, and emergency blankets. Drop-off locations include The Lounge and O’Leary’s during business hours, or bring items to the event. Monetary donations are also accepted: $25 for a sleeping bag, $15 for a backpack, or $40 for both.
