The Dakota County Fair hosts a car show for vehicles 1978 and older on the final day of the fair in Farmington, Minn. No preregistration is required. More information is available at dakotacountyfair.org/carshow. The show is hosted by the IMCA Old Timers Car Club, with awards presented near the close of the show.
The day also includes a cornhole tournament with check-in at the Main Beer Garden. Teams may enter as social ($20) or competitive ($40), with 100% payout. Participants must bring their own partner.
Live music is scheduled at both the Craft Beer Garden and the Main Beer Garden, featuring Drake Walters and the 5-Day Forecast Band respectively.
General fair admission is free all week, courtesy of event sponsors. Parking is $10 per carload and $20 per busload. Accessibility accommodations include courtesy carts, rentable scooters, and accessible restrooms on site.
